Work Plan

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous disease where there is a gradual progressive decline in lung function, punctuated by periods of acute exacerbations. The group evaluate the management of COPD and determine predictors of lung function decline and exacerbations to better guide patient treatment.

The COPD Working Group has recently conducted a multi-centre prospective study to examine the clinical validity and utility of the concept of control in COPD, in terms of predicting outcomes and guiding COPD management.
